Lumpy The bar and dumbbell handles are solid and surprisingly light. When I loaded the dumbbell handles with 55lbs. each and turned the weights vertical the spring clip collars failed right away. The plates slid off with ease and the spring clip collars did little to keep the plates in place. I do not know how this got past the maker of this product when testing it. This is an obvious flaw. Be prepared to buy different collars to keep the weight plates on the dumbbell handles. I would recommend buying the curl bar without the dumbbell handles.

Crusher Carl This is my second of this same set; have two curl bars and four dumbells saves me setup time. I could pay five times as much for pieces that would only be a little sturdier and quieter; those differences aren't worth the cost. This set is a great value.

rexbo2000 I bought this 3 piece set just for the 2 DBs. My gym's DBs max-out at only 125 pounds each, so I bring these little guys in my Training Bag and put up to 8 45-pound Olympic Plates on each to do Extremely Heavy Bent 1-Armed DB Rows at 360 pounds. I've been doing this for years and I'm just now replacing them with new ones 'cuz they eventually bend from the severe abuse that I put them through. (I do INSANE things with them !) Anyway, they're a great value at $50 and I couldn't live without them now! Highly Recommended!

Zack Great alternative for the price compared to individual dumbbells. Only complaint is when doing chest presses or military presses, due to the curved ends, its hard to balance on your thighs and kick up into position when using heavier weights.

Also it becomes a pain to change weights between sets, while drop sets are out of the question. Not for people who are looking to do any kind of burnout/pyramid sets.
