Joyid I'm new to weight lifting and found this bar to be really heavy. I wouldn't be surprised if it was over 15 pounds. I also would have liked it to have protective caps on the ends of the bar so that it doesn't damage my floor. Besides all that, this bar is the sturdiest bar you could find so I will keep it. I just have to get use to the weight of it.

Rex Great product for those that are beginning or your buying for your teenage child, 255 lb weight limit bar starts to bend at 235lbs, bar ends are threaded so need to keep a check in case bar starts to untighten (drill into your son/daughter head that u need to keep a check on this otherwise if came really loose could hurt badly never has came loose or me to that point because is noticealble of course but something to keep in mind) if u plan to lift more then 235 I would look for another bar that holds more weight, here's a picture of the bar at 235Lbs

Turbonator CAUTION: Make sure that your "weight bench" is "sized" right to support the "length." I found out after purchasing the 5' bar with weights as a set, that the bar was "too short" for the supports. I need to exchange it for a 6' bar, to adjust for the difference. I see that there is a few dollar difference between the two bars. I hope that I can exchange just the bar, and keep the 1" dia. weights from the set. These weights will also fit the "dumbell" set, that I purchased seperately.

Benny Bar weight = 15± lbs

Max weight = 250 lbs (I think, it was written on the side of the box)

Spinning bar locks aren't easy but aren't hard. Nice that they have to spin all the way off to "fall off" as they can't "slip off".

Skinny Guy ["..."]

In-shape retired guy This chrome bar looks good all the time, no chance of rust, and with spin-lock collars, there is no way that any plates will ever fall off and injure anyone. Safe for kids and adults who cannot consistently follow safety rules about securing plates on weight bars.

Shane F The Bar arrived pretty quickly with standard shipping. It is very good quality. I use if often.

Downside is minor in that once you unwrap the bar it has an oily feel to it, and smells very metallic so you will want to clean it befor your first use.

bigdaddy13460 Bar suits purpose but spin on collars are a pain.

Xavier This is a good bar, it's well constructed and worth the money. I like the security of having the threaded bar and not having to worry about weights slipping off the end of it.
